Description
A pair of Japanese Ukiyo-e color woodblock prints on paper. The first: Utagawa Kuniteru (Japanese, 1808–1876) a scene from Chushingura (47 Ronin), depicting the assault of Kira Yoshinaka by Asano Naganori in the Matsu no Oroka of Edo Castle. The second: Utagawa Kunisada (Japanese, 1786-1864) Chushingura Act 12, from the series Kanadehon Chushingura, c. 1847-48. Both signed with Hieroglyphs, to the right. Framed.
