Collection of Sixteen Prince Albert Coin Silver Servers
circa 1840s, including: a pair of sugar tongs with mark of J. Hayden; a serving spoon with shell form bowl and mark of J. & W. Moir of New York; a berry spoon with strawberry engraving to bowl and mark of Wm. W. White & Son of New York; a long serving spoon with gilt shell form bowl (13 in.); a sugar sifter with shell form bowl and mark of Robert Rait of New York; (4) master salt spoons with marks of Wood & Hughes, A. Kerly & Briggs and one unknown; (2) mustard ladles, one with mark of Mitchell & Tyler of Richmond, Virginia; a soup ladle with mark of S. M. Hopper of Philadelphia; a long handled rice spoon by unknown maker and with period armorial engraving of a rooster to underside of handle (13 1/4 in.); a sauce ladle with mark of Ball, Tompkins & Black, manufactured by Michael Gibney of New York; a shell form sugar spoon with mark of N. Harding & Co. of Haverhill, Massachusetts; and a shovel form sugar spoon with rubbed mark. Various period monograms.
