Description
Ignac Fischer learned his craft at Herend and in 1867 founded his own pottery manufacture in Pest. Imagination had no bounds and Fischer produced a wealth of decorative art pottery that was extensively exported. Many of the pieces found their way to the United States. These wares were fanciful creations based on Hungarian decorative motifs but incorporated middle eastern and oriental designs as well. This ewer or jug features stunning colors and measures 10 inches in height. The beautiful detail features flowers, fruit, birds, and what appears to be koi fish. There is some slight gold loss around the foot and at the top. No signs of damage. Please visit the photos for conditions and details. ***WE DO NOT ACCEPT PREPAID SHIPPING LABELS.
