Granddaughter of the sculptor Alexandre Noll, Catherine Noll liked to work with wood, but she also enjoyed associating it with resin or Plexiglas to create her jewellery, in the 1970s and 80s.
After graduating from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in 1970, she began creating jewellery and entered into collaboration with the greatest Haute Couture houses, Nina Ricci, Chanel and Christian Dior. Her creations have the strength of ethnic ornaments, the purity of essential forms and the tactile magnetism of natural materials such as ivory, ebony and rosewood.
