Artist Bio:
Peter Egeli was born to noted Noregian-American portrait painter Bjorn Egeli and Lois Egeli, an accomplished artist in her own right. He began painting and drawing in early childhood, and continued his study in painting at the Corcoran Art School in Washington, D.C.

After a tour of duty in the Marine Corps, he enrolled in the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. After graduation he went on to attend the Arts Students League in New York and George Washington University on Washingon D.C.

He is a prominent portrait artist, with works hanging in government halls and high-profile boardrooms. He is also well known as a maritime painter, and was previously the president of the American Society of Marine Artists.ξ

Peter Egeli is still an active artist, living with his wife in southern Maryland.
