Description
England, 1st half-19th century. Late Georgian, faint hallmarks for London, "TPER" (Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson), date mark 1829. The hinged lid rectangular form opening to reveal an interior fitted with grater, bottom hinged led opens to compartment for nutmeg, exterior fully engraved. Approx. 1.87"l x 1.25"w x 1"d, 58gr.
Condition
Please note the correct date is 1809 instead of 1829.UPDATE "Marks appear correct for London silver but there are areas of copper showing under the silver. This should be considered silver plated with questionable London hallmarks."
