DESCRIPTION: Pair of wooden cabinets each in two parts-an upper part and a base-and each with identical elaborately carved designs. Base of each cabinet has: a wooden door decorated with carved lion's head, geometric, curled scroll, and floral designs; a column on either side of the door decorated with clawed feet, two lion faces (the top of which holds a metal ring in its mouth), and a carved figure of a bearded man with a bare chest and foliage around his neck; carved geometric and floral designs along the bottom of the piece; and floral designs along of top of piece. Top part of each cabinet has a door decorated with geometric and floral designs surrounding a glass pane; columns on either side of door decorated with carved floral motifs, lion's face, cherub, bearded man, and claw; and geometric designs. Each lion on the top part of each cabinet holds a ring in its mouth. One of the pieces has longer lion's faces than the other. Dimensions are as follows:
