Victorian ormolu-mounted burr walnut writing table, second 19th century, with simulated drawers to the reverse, the left frieze drawer inscribed 'J...Peele / Mitton (?) hall / Ch Ro... / Bexley Heath'. Provenance: Christie's, London "Interiors" sale, May 18, 2016, lot 10. [29 1/2" H x 41 3/4" W x 25 1/2" D]. In overall good condition, with some scattered marks, nicks and scratches consistent with age and use. The veneers with a lightly distressed surface; the ormolu lightly tarnished overall. One key. One lock apparently inoperative.
