IV.
Ludovic Rodo Pissarro (Paris, France 1878-1952), born Ludovic-Rodolphe Pissarro, nicknamed Rodo and signing as Ldovic-Rodo or with the monogram LR, was a French painter and printmaker.Son of the painter Camille Pissarro and his wife Julie Vellay, he was the fifth of seven siblings: Lucien (1863-1944), Jeanne called "Minette" (1865-1874), Georges (1871-1961), Félix (1874-1897), Jeanne called "Cocotte" (1881-1948) and Paul-Émile (1884-1972).

At an early age he was encouraged by his father to draw directly from nature. In 1894, at the age of sixteen, Rodo published his first woodcut in the magazine Le Pere Peinard. In 1914 he moved to London, because of the start of the First World War. There he worked as an artist along with his older brother Lucien. In addition to painting, he spent twenty years classifying and preserving the paternal archives (his father's correspondence with Theo van Gogh will end up in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam), as well as a reasoned catalog of his work that he published in 1939.
