A JAPANESE KUTANI PORCELAIN VASE ON STAND
MEIJI PERIOD (1868 - 1912)
The Kaga-kuni Shimizu-sei, ""Kutani"" in ""Satsuma"" style but on a porcelain body. Six character mark on the bottom. The undulating lip and ovoid shaped body is decorated with a floral motif adorned with two reserves which feature a palace scene and a scene of young woman and men offering gifts. The reserves are interspersed with birds perched on rocks and in trees. Raised on carved, fitted stand.
Very good condition.
