Ansel Adams Signed Postcard, PSA/DNA Slabbed & Graded NM 7
Measuring 6" x 4.25", postmarked Salinas, California, November 28, 1983. Signed "Ansel Adams" and addressed to Mr. Selwyn Gamble. Written on a postcard of Adams' photograph of "Point Sur, Storm, Big Sur, CA, 1946", with a typed message by Adams that reads in part, "…I hope this autographed photo of one of my favorite images will add to your collection." The postcard was published by Redwood City, California. Encapsulated and PSA/DNA graded NM 7. Small spots of soiling, with an ink stain on the front of the postcard. Boldly signed. The slab measures 10" x 6.5".
Ansel Adams (1902-1984) was an American photographer and environmentalist celebrated for his striking and stark landscape photographs. His interest in photographing natural scenery coincided with his joining the environmentalist Sierra Club in the 1920s. Adams had become a well-established and nationally recognized photographer by the early 1960s.
