French, last quarter 18th century. Neoclassical parcel gilt and ebonized barometer, having a foliate crest decorated with love birds and a quiver. Marked to face. Provenance: From a Private Collection, Highlands, North Carolina. Approx. h. 35.5", w. 23.5".

Condition

Face is faded and darkened with stable cracks; scattered chips; not tested for accuracy; frame is structurally sound.
