Description
1st item: Large hand painted silk scroll depicting butterflies and peonies in a landscape setting. Asian characters in black and two red seals to the upper left side and two additional red seals at the lower right corner. Bordered by pale blue silk damask mounted to paper and affixed to wooden dowels; rope handle affixed to upper dowel. Additional Chinese characters in black, en verso. 75" H x 24 3/4" W. Early 20th century. 2nd through 4th items: Group of 3 framed sets of Asian watercolor on rice paper paintings depicting pairs of birds of different species on flowering branches. All housed and double matted under glass in giltwood frames. (7 paintings in 3 frames). Sights approximately: 4 7/8" H x 6 1/8" W. Frames ranging from 19 1/4" H x 12 1/8" W to 26" H x 12 1/8" W. Late 19th/early 20th century.

1st item: Overall good condition with some faint discoloration and a few creases to image and light staining to border; foxing to paper lining. 2nd item: All paintings with scattered discoloration with tears and losses to rice paper, largest measuring 1 3/8" H x 5/8" W. Frames with scattered wear to gilt; smallest frame with loose left portion.
