Five (5) Inuit carved soapstone figures, including one (1) Novoalia Alariaq (Cape Dorset, b. 1956) black soapstone carving depicting a fisherman figure with shorts in a wide stance holding a spearhead and a speared fish before him, signature inscribed to underside; one (1) Joanassie Oomayoualook (Port Harrison, b. 1934) small black soapstone carving depicting a female seated with arms and legs stretched out in front of her and a young child swaddled at her back, inscribed with copyright 1995 and partially illegible numbering with additional Canadian Eskimo Art sticker label and written paper label on underside; one (1) Bryon Amos (Alaska, 20th/21st Century) blue-grey soapstone carving depicting a hooded spearman figure with a white stone face holding a spear of bone attached via twine, inscribed B. AMOS 1991 with additional paper label to underside; one (1) black soapstone carving depicting a hooded figure in a wide stance, inscribed LRC to underside; and one (1) brown and black soapstone carving depicting a squatting woman lifting an object, inscribed with copyright 1985, numbering, CA, and further illegible script with additional Canadian Eskimo Art sticker label to underside. Ranging in size from 2 1/2" H x 2 1/4" W x 1 3/8" D to 8 3/4" H x 4 1/4" W x 3 3/4" D. All items 20th century.
