A Chinese Porcelain Temple Jar with Guanyin and Calligraphy
19th century, porcelain temple jar painted in famille rose palette with three female figures, largest being Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, dressed in elegant flowing robe and holding a basket of flowers, the figures stand on a layered cloud, a crane symbolizing longevity flies in the upper portion of the scene, the reverse side is decorated with calligraphy.
