Vintage German porcelain ruffled / fluted bowl with gold and green "Mitterteich Bavaria" mark [used from 1920] with additional "Germany" and patter numbers.

The bowl is c.6" [15.2cm] across, no chips, no hairlines, near fine condition.

Mitterteich was the first porcelain factory in the town of Mitterteich in Bavaria, Germany. It was established in 1887 by Ludwig Lindner but was taken over by a glass and porcelain retailer called Max Emanuel & Co. in 1895. At the start of World War I, the Bavarian authorities confiscated the factory from the British. From 1917 it worked as Porzellanfabrik Mitterteich A.G. Number of workers reached 300. Because of rising demand in 1925 was constructed a second facility and another one in 1937. In 2006 the company seized to exist.
