Item Details
Description
The former owner bought almost 30 years ago directly from a monk ho had rowed across the Mekong River from Laos to the Chiang Kong area of Northern Thailand to sell a few items to raise money for his temple. He believed it was "pink gold". Not gold alloy, though, I do not know what the alloy is. I've never seen another Buddha cast of the same material. Note the distinctive high level of bubbling all throughout the alloy-something else I have not seen in quite the same way and I have seen a lot of Buddhas. -It has retained the distinctive pink color for the 15 years I have owned It.5 5/8" tall
