Antique Nepalese altar table. Made of a repousse-like technique of hammering copper and brass sheeting over wood. Beautiful and elaborate folk art with auspicious symbols, animals, figures, and a few stones (many missing). Size is 7 3/8 inches x 16 1/4 inches x 6 1/2 inches. Out of a Scottish collection put together in the 1950s and 60s. Looks to be at least 100 years old, and, given that it has spent the past 50 years protected in the collection, probably older.
