EUGÈNE BRIÈRE (FRENCH, 1863-1927) STAINED GLASS SUITE OF DOORS

Matched set of two pair of arched and leaded glass doors, reverse painted with stained glass bordering, one signed "E. Briere - Paris". Each of the four panels centering an oval portrait medallion of Classical figures with birds and hanging floral baskets above, "T" form pedestals near the bottom with all around foliate bordering.Eugène Brière (1863-1927) settled his stained glass workshops in 1896 in Levallois-Perret. He is most famous for designing the glass cupola of the Belle Epoque department store, Printemps Haussmann located in Paris 9th and for stained glasses inside the Casino of Monte-Carlo. One pair: 95" height, 19.75" width; the other: 99.75" height, 20.25" width

Condition
All four in slender solid metal frames with three hinges set to each. Regarding the taller pair, 2 of the 3 painted bottom panels near the floor cracked as the only bottom one not cracked has the Briere signature, and two panels around the portrait medallion are cracked being the bottom right and the left central panels, with 2 of the rose colored stained glass outer borders cracked, and 3 of the painted and green stained glass inner border panels cracked. The other tall door has 3 cracked outer border stained glass panels of rose color, and 1 of the painted and green stained glass inner border panels cracked. Regarding the shorter pair, the central panel below the portrait is cracked on one door, and 3 rose colored stained glass border panels cracked. The other short door with a cracked panel to the upper left where the portrait medallion is, and 1 rose colored outer stained glass panels is cracked with slight damage to the lead border between the rose and green glass panel (not major).
