**Originally Listed At $175**
Pre-Columbian, Colima, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A fine handmade figural pottery vessel depicting a woman with both arms positioned behind her head carrying a load on a tump line. Painted in lovely hues of black, red, and white, the vessel presents with a rounded base, a tall body, and an annular rim that curves inward over a deep basin. The woman wears a double-banded headdress that rests above her minimalistic face featuring a bulbous nose, circular cheeks, and a pronounced chin. Two drill holes flank the periphery of the vessel, allowing it to be suspended. Size: 3.125" in diameter x 3.375" H (7.9 cm x 8.6 cm)
Provenance: private Hawaii USA collection; ex-Roy Oswald collection, Arizona, USA, acquired 1960 to 2004

Condition
Collection label on base. Expected surface wear with a few abraded areas on back and on proper right arm, as well as a stable hairline fissure near rim. Otherwise, excellent with nice earthen deposits throughout.
