National Air and Space Museum. "Albatross D. Va. No. 7161/17" print, 1970s. A relic print of the ALBATROSS D.VA that also includes a four inch square swatch of the original fabric that was preserved when the Smithsonian restored the ALBATROSS D.Va prior to installing it in a permanent collection of the National Air and Space Museum. In addition, there is an informative statement below the fabric swatch that reads, "The Albatross D.Va was a formidable German fighter which appeared in combat during World War I in the fall of 1917. Only two aircraft of this type survive today. Restored in its original markings of the Jasta 46, the Albatross D.Va, No. 7161/17 is part of the collection of the National Air and Space Museum." Size (including frame): 21.125" L x 16.125" W (53.7 cm x 41 cm)

Condition
Print has minor toning and a very narrow passage of matte burn along one edge that is not visible in the frame. Frame has just a few minor scuffs/nicks, but the glass is intact and there is suspension hardware on the verso.
