RIAA 2x Muilti-Platinum Album award for Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits album.  The album was released on February 24, 1995 and by April 24, 1995 was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for two million copies sold.

This was Springsteen's first greatest hits album featuring many of his hits with the "E Street" band in the previous two decades. The new track "Secret Garden" was featured in the soundtrack of 1996 film Jerry Maguire. The album went to #1 on Billboard Top 200 Albums, the UK Top Albums chart and many other world music market charts. By 1999 it has been certified 4x Multi-Platinum.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Platinum "R hologram" award that would have been manufactured shortly after the certification date in 1995, making it approximately 25 years old. This award was given to radio industry executive Jay Shannon from KZII in Texas. 

The award is in VG condition with minor mars on frame and plexiglas. Award has the correct original manufacturer label from Ill Eagle Enterprises on it's backing paper.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
