Kate Greenaway was one of the most prolific English childrens literature illustrators during the 19th-century. Her distinct style was so popular and frequently imitated, that she is quoted as saying, “I have made it a rule for a long time, not to part with the copyright of my drawings, for I have been so copied, my drawings reproduced and sold for advertisements and done in ways I hate.”



This printing of “Little Ann” is filled with color illustrations of charming Greenaway artwork with such titles of poems such as "Dirty Jim," "Meddlesome Matty," and "Mischief," outlining the results of moral errors. Although individual poems are not ascribed, the work contains poems by Ann Taylor, Jane Taylor, Isaac Taylor, and Adelaide OKeeffe. This collection was first published in 1883 – an exquisite find.
