Spectacular and beautiful quality and rare subject bronze figure of a Hercules with drapeon arm. This life size Picault sculpture is a rare find. Other Picault sculptures online that are 1/2 this size are going for $15,000 and up! Expect to pay $30,000 and up in a gallery! Size: 66H x 25W x 15D inches. Medium: Bronze. Signature: E. Picault on base. Condition: Natural patina. Looks great overall with some rubs on buttocks, shoulder blade, and other small areas(see pics). Date: Circa 1880 we think. It could be a 1950's casting. Style: Romantic. From a spectacular, non-smoking, estate of late attorney near Atlanta. Émile Louis Picault was a French sculptor, best known for works depicting allegorical and patriotic subjects, and mythological heroes. Picault was a very prolific artist, producing sculptures in abundance—over 500 models in total—during his long sculpting career. Born: August 24, 1833, Paris, France. Died: 1915, Paris, France.
