Description
This image conveys a sense of beauty of the New England region to the viewer. The New York Central Lines had issued a series of posters after the Great Depression to encourage rail travel to various destinations served by the rail line. Tracing its roots as a company back to the mid 1800's, the New Central Lines primarily serviced the New to Boston corridor as well the Chicago to St. Louis routes. The line merged with the Pennsylvania Railroad to form the Penn Central Lines in 1968.
This lovely scene created by the artist Anthony Hansen shows a warm setting rich in colors of the region with a view towards the shore line. It draws the eye of the viewer with the fine painterly skills and breadth of colors.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
