Outstanding early 4-1/2' gauge live steam engine Berlin locomotive. This incredible early live steam model features both brass and tin components, 5" brass wheels, brass whistle, glass windows, spring assisted front bumpers, (2) brass tags reading " 1888 Emil Buttner No.12 " on fenders above first drive wheels, (2) copper Austrian coins on exterior sides of cab, and other functioning components. Overall it appears to be in nice original cosmetic condition with surface rust and wear from use and age. It is not 100% complete, but appears to have most of the necessary components. It is not currently running, and is sold as is. It measures approximately 23" across by 12" tall.
