Eisenberg & Sons had started adding embellishments to dresses in the 1920s, and by the turn of the decade it was commonplace to see adornments ranging from beading and sequins to buckles and buttons, touches that would appeal to a wealthy clientele. Clothing historians note that Eisenberg's use of rhinestones was in line with fashion trends of the late 1920s.
