Item Details

Description

A copper and silverplate pitcher from Los Castillos Taxco, Mexico. The pitcher features a carved Lapis Lazuli frog on a leaf as the handle and inlaid Lapis frogs on a bulbous form body.

Dimensions are: 11 inches tall X 7 1/2 inches wide, 27.94 cm X 19.05 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The silverplate is heavily worn and there is loss to the Lapis inlays on the body.

Provenance: From a private VA collection.
