Item Details

Description

A two part American mahogany secretary most likely Baltimore made circa 1829. The upper section has arched front doors over three drawers. The lower section has a marble front over the secretary drawer with a lift top desk. The drawer pulls are possibly original to the piece with decorated carved floral details.

Dimensions are: 88 1/2 inches tall, 46 3/4 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 224.79 cm X 118.74 cm X 53.34 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The glass on one of the doors is broken and the lower panel has been replaced. There are scuffs and surface wear to old refinish.

Provenance: From a private VA collection.
