With foliate marquetry decoration, string-inlaid columns with gilt bronze bases and capitals, and with white enamel clock face with ormolu surround. No pendulum. Back of clock with incised handwritten date "3 Juin 1883" and below that another word or name which is partially hidden by the other plates. A smaller incised handwritten name, "Marcel" with numbers is found on the lower part of the plate.
