Condition
In fair to good decorative condition commensurate with age and use
The piece requiring some restoration. The ebonised wood with some splits and cracks in places - these tend to be finer further up the column shaft and to the moulding and with more open splits to the plinth base and joint outlines to the timber showing the black finish. The revolving top with a chip to the veneer to the top edge and a blemished part chip more towards the middle and with some further chipped blemishes and and with a lightish bloom mark. The bronze mounts with some minor dulling to the gilded surfaces of the borders to the upper revolving section and the top of the column, the pendant floral garlanded mounts are more dulled and with old dust and dirt and some green verdigris marks, the lower mounts similarly with dust and dirt and dulling.
