Four American Aesthetic Period Sterling Silver & Coin Silver Servers
circa 1870s; the first a Gorham Lily server with incurved and pierced matte finished bowl, no monogram (10 in.) (scratch to underside of bowl near handle juncture, small fissure to shaped edge of bowl near handle); the second a Whiting Mfg. Co. sterling silver serving spoon marked "Sterling" and "17," with foliate shaped bowl with matte finish, period "VMP" monogram to recto of handle which features a shaped terminus with botanical bouquet against a stippled ground (10 1/4 in.) (central tip of bowl with slight mis-shaping); the third an attributed to Whiting Mfg. Co. sterling silver pierced ladle with gilt matte finish to shaped bowl, marked "Sterling," period "M" monogram to bowl, finely modeled calla lily handle (10 1/4 in.) (good estate condition); and the fourth a coin silver server with gilt matte and bright-cut engraving to bowl and tines, the handle with unique mongoose and berry motif, period monogram "AMG" (9 1/4 in.) (good estate condition).
