Provenance: This item was handed down to consignor's wife from either the Stotesbury family of Philadelphia - builder and part owner of JP Morgan in the 19th/20th century, or the Minturn families of NY - the consignor's wife's great great uncle was Col. Robert Shaw (the film "Glory") and her great great grandmother was Susanna Shaw Minturn (1839 - 1926) who gifted the land to NY that became part of Central Park.
