John Tackett Photos Incl. African American Miners

Two Photographs, 8” x 10”, black & white. The first photograph is a group of 6 miners, including 3 African American miners sitting in a cave. One man looks directly into the camera and smiles, while the others look exhausted after a long day of work. The second image, taken of 7 miners posing, including 4 African American miners.

John Tackett owned a photography studio in Coffeyville, where Tackett would capture famous images, including those of the infamous Dalton Gang after the Coffeyville raid.
