Chang Naga Warrior's Cowry Shell Apron and Brass Disc. Old, indigo dyed cotton cloth with bamboo supports sewn into the well-worn back at the bottom, completely stitched with filed halves of cowry shells in the front - worn with brass "disc of wealth", a symbol of status, but also for protection - late 19th/early 20th century. Size: 20.5'' x 13'', 52 x 33 cm (apron); 7'' x 7'', 18 x 18 cm (disc).
