A Very special desk triangular name plate from Bob Feller's Personal desk. Made of oak, featuring on one said his name ROBERT W. FELLER C.S P. U.S.N.R. anf the other reads Original oak Timber 1979 U.S. Frigate Constellation. It is unknown where Mr. Feller had received this desk name plate, but never the less it is very unique and ONE OF A KIND for sure. See photos for details, measuring approx 10" in length. Direct Provenance from the Resident Estate of Bob and Anne Feller, Gates Mills, Ohio. Bob was named 'The Greatest Pitcher' of his time for the Cleveland Indians and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. He played 18 seasons for the Indians, was an 8 time 'All Star' and ranked 36 out of 100 in the list of 100 of the Greatest Baseball Players in the 'Sporting News'. At the age of 23 he was the first American professional athlete to enlist in the military the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
