ANRI is a private company owned by the Riffeser family in the Alpine South Tyrol region of Italy. The company is specialized on high quality wood carved art created by the several master-carvers and artists. The ANRI Company was founded in 1912 by Josef Anton Riffeser (1912-1945). He named the company using the first two letters of his first and last name. He created his own models of wood carved figurines which he distributed successfully and mainly in the Alpine region. When Anton Adolf Riffeser took over in 1945, he transformed the ANRI company, adopting a more industrial model which allowed for better quality control and distribution to new markets. He was followed by Ernst Riffeser who was able to enlist the services of many well-known artists including Juan Ferrandiz, Sarah Kay and others. In 1954, ANRI completed the construction of company's own workshop buildings.
