Probably Ferdinand Martin. French - 1910 - 21 1/2" T x 5 1/2" Base. We believe this to be a previously uncataloged toy by Ferdinand Martin, for several reasons. Here are just a few: The toy is definetly French made and quite similar to the size and action of a Martin "Mystery Ball". When you pull the activating ring outwards the balloon comes down the pole; just as the Mystery ball comes down the ramp. When you release the ring, the balloon ascends and the figures turn around; just as the Mystery ball ascends up its ramp. The mechanism when operated sounds identically and lastly the stain used on the tin base is identical to that used on many Martin Toys. This is truly the best balloon toy we have ever sold.
