Marklin George Washington Ocean Liner with Four Funnels

Description

Gebruder Marklin - 1910 - 38" L. Considering it's age and enormous size, the "George Washington" is in very superior condition. It is a very scarce live steam version that appears not to have been "fired up" too many times. Because there is not a great deal of burn or bubbling to the paint on the boat sides where the boiler sits. All ten of the life boats are original but they required expert restoration from the team at Tin Toy Works. It goes without mention that Marklin is considered the paramount producer of European toy boats. Live steam examples of their work rarely come on the market in such good authentic condition.
