SERIAL # : None DATE OF MANF: Circa 1830
DESIGN: Single shot muzzleloader. 32" round barrel. Bore measures .775 inches at muzzle. Steel butt plate.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued metal. Full length military configuration walnut stock with comb. US stamped butt plate.
FEATURES: On the lock forward of the hammer is stamped "W.I. EVANS over the eagle over V. FORGE". Rear of the hammer and perpendicular to the plane of the barrel is stamped "1830 over US". A metal plate on the left side of the stock opposite the lock plate is stamped with the name "Wm Von Auken". Three barrel bands. Steel ramrod with trumpet shaped end.
CONDITION: Good. Metal surfaces are smooth with sharp edges. Moderate pitting on the rear of the barrel and nipple area. Stock shows mild gouges, pressure dents and scratches commensurate with the age of the rifle.
