For your consideration is a rare early 20th Century Steuben 'verre de soie' covered vase (shape #2812). The ginger jar-shaped vessel was made to be used with or without the lid and only came in a handful of colors/designs - aurene, carved and verre de soie - with a variety of finials. This classic form is elegant and timeless and this color combination was only made from about 1905-1930.
