Description
The Shenandoah was a famous clipper ship built in 1890, the last of the Bath Maine quartet of clipper ships. Captain Murphy who piloted the ship often stated that it was the finest sailing ship ever built with the biggest cargo ever stowed under its hatches. The ship was fast four- master often logging 300 miles in a day and handled like a yacht. On her maiden voyage she went with 5,100 tons of wheat from San Francisco, the largest cargo ever taken out of San Francisco in a sailing ship. The model is 50" long by 31"Height by 5.5" Width with a wooden base with nametag.
