A Victorian sterling silver christening mug, London 1853 by George John Richards Of baluster form upon four shaped beaded scroll bracket feet, an applied C scroll handle. The body with embossed decoration of a girl chasing a dog whom is chasing a pheasant, a house in the background and trees. Engraved with a later inscription to the rim reading “Rowland John Rathbone Whitehead, 24th June 1930. Fully marked underneath. Height – 9 cm / 3.5 inches Weight – 95 grams / 3.05 ozt
