Description

CANE WITH HANDLE CARVED AS THE HEAD OF A BULLDOG 19th Century Walrus ivory handle and elongated throat. Bulldog with inset amber glass bead eyes and a silver metal collar. Whalebone shaft with metal ferrule. Length 32.5".

Condition

Dog's ear chipped. Other age lines/small chips in handle and throat. Shaft with age cracks. Naturally occurring "oatmeal textured" secondary dentine visible in walrus ivory components. Shaft is dry, with some naturally occurring amber-colored oil spots. Ferrule split in two.
