Jean Georges Wille was a line engraver and publisher, born near Koenigsberg; to Paris in 1736 where remained, becoming a member of the Academy and achieving a great repuation for his abilities. Took on numerous pupils from the German-speaking world, and a major link between Germany and the French art world. (British Museum).
