Isami Doi (American/Hawaii 1903-1965). A fine miniature wood engraving / woodcut. From a very limited printing of "The Wayward Muse" series, C. 1952. Titled: Long before Man, Long after Man. The work is signed, in pencil. It is framed, under glass. Measures: H 10" x W 9" Sight: 3" x 2 3/4" Provenance: From the estate collection of John Stage. Mr. Stage was a well regarded and widely known photojournalist. His work was used in many prominent publications from the 1950's onwards. The following provided courtesy of the Stage Family. As a freelance photojournalist for 38 years, assignments from magazines (Holiday, Life, Look, National Geographic, Travel & Leisure, Town & Country), book publishers and occasional advertising agencies took him to all 50 states and more than 100 foreign
