Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Porcelain Qin Guqin. Potted in rectangle shape, thick and raised with three short legs. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of many young boy playing on the grass field bellow dense tree in various pursuit. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The Upper Centre bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
