Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Famille Verte Porcelain Gourd Bottle. The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd bottle vase, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, round opening lip, raised on round foot base and slightly concave. Warm and uniform apple green glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Green is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. Green stands for health, prosperity, and harmony. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
