Description
ASSORTED PAPIER- MACHE AND MILLINER MODEL TYPE MAN AND LADY DOLLHOUSE DOLLS, LOT OF TWO, each with paint decorated facial features and molded black hair, each with brushstrokes to hair edge, kid leather bodies with wooden arms and legs, one example with a decorative printed scroll pattern paper ribbon outlining the breast plate. Each fitted in period attire, dress and undergarments. One example fitted with a broach inscribed "Lucy", and a handwritten note "This doll Lucy has wooden head, arms & legs & a kid body stuffed with sawdust. She was given me by my cousin Lucy Pickett. It belonged to her mother, Mary Anne Clendiun. Possibly Dresel, Cuno & Otto. Second quarter/mid 19th century. 6 3/4" and 7 1/4" HOA.

Condition
Good overall condition, each with expected moderate wear including crackling to the face, Lucy example with some losses to shoulder plate. Clothing in poor condition with deterioration and scattered holes/losses.
