Description
CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA "RUPPERT" PAINT-DECORATED CLOTH BOY DOLL, handmade with four-piece constructed oval-form head with paint decorated facial features, brown decorated hair, sewn in cloth ears, linen/muslin material with sewn fingers. Fitted in vintage attire, brown tweed suit, black socks and leather boots. Made by a member of the Aldridge family. Circa 1870-1880. 21" HOA.

Good overall condition, expected wear and usage imperfections, facial decoration with some losses, some areas of restitching. Clothing in very good overall condition, jacket with a small hole, socks and shoes with deterioration.
